Animals do not need to suffer for healthy, glowing skin.

We are pushing the skincare industry forward.

It’s 2023. We live in an advanced civilization where technology can solve the most challenging problems. Inhumane animal testing of cosmetic products is a thing of the past. And yet, there are many skincare brands out there that still use animal byproducts in their formulations for the sake of your skin’s aesthetics 🤯

When we set out to formulate our skincare range we had one requirement for our formulator (who, by the way, was the founding formulator at Aesop!): create cruelty-free, vegan skincare formulations that actually work.

The big secret the cosmetics industry is hiding from you.

Formulating vegan skincare products that harness the benefits of powerful active ingredients such as collagen which is a key protein that gives your skin structure and elasticity proved difficult. You see, all of the collagen skincare products on the market today are actually made using fish scales and cow hooves 🤢. That’s right… you, or your girlfriend are smearing ground up, mushy fish scales and cow hooves onto your skin. Or, if you’re drinking collagen protein shakes… you’re guzzling it down. Yikes.

Why do vegan skincare products need collagen?

We had to include collagen in our vegan skincare products. Why? Our body’s ability to synthesise collagen from the food that we consume starts to decline from the age of 20, which is why your skin starts to sag and wrinkle. That’s why by the age of 80, we look like a big sack of wrinkles (no offence grandpa). Topical application or oral consumption of collagen offsets that, with many studies showing that skincare is the most effective way to absorb collagen. However, vegan skincare brands shy away from collagen because technically speaking it ain’t vegan skincare.

That was until we discovered a cutting-edge secret lab in sunny California that was using recombinant DNA technology to teach bacteria how to create a collagen molecule that exactly resembled the human collagen molecule. This process was 100% PETA approved vegan. The vegan collagen it created is also more effective for human skin than the marine or bovine alternatives. Logically, that makes sense… human collagen for human skin, duhhh.

Our Structure Serum is a game changer!

Just like that, we were able to be the first ever 100% vegan skincare brand that offered a vegan skincare product - our Structure Serum to be specific - that contained a first of its kind vegan collagen. Our Structure Serum is also loaded with Vitamin C and Niacinamide, and together this trio of active ingredients enhances the skin’s structural integrity and makes it glow. Literally. It does that by changing the way that light reflects on the melanin in your skin. What better way to stand out from the crowd than with firm, youthful and glowing skin.

So, if you’re looking for vegan skincare products that actually work, you’ve come to the right place 😎 Your new, cruelty-free vegan skincare routine awaits.
